Dr. Amanda Hergenreder D.V.M.
Dr. Amanda Hergenreder is a licensed Michigan veterinarian providing services for both small animals and equine. She believes that it is her job to educate and inform you as an owner to make the best decision for you and your family regarding your pets’ needs and health. Your pets’ health and well-being are a priority to all of us at Care Veterinary Services. We take every possible measure to give your beloved pets the care and compassion they deserve.
When it comes to a receptionist, there is no one else like Sarah Campbell. Greeting you with her warm and welcoming smile when you walk into our office, managing check-ins, scheduling surgeries and answering phone calls; is just the tip of what she does at Care Veterinary Services. Sarah attended Central Michigan University and studied in the healthcare field. She has previously worked at Covenant and for the American Red Cross. Sarah lives in her hometown of Millington with her husband Jimmy and their two spoiled fur kids, Moose and Stache. She loves spending time with her many nieces and nephews, playing board games and doing puzzles. In her free time, you will most likely find Sarah being crafty. Making wreaths, crocheting hats and scarves or scrapbooking are just a few of her favorite things.
Licensed Vet Technician
Ensuring our patients are receiving the best care possible, our Licensed Veterinary Technician, Stacy Nelson is here for our pet patients. Making sure all animals are happy, healthy, and taking their preventatives at Care Veterinary Services. She helps draw blood, run lab work when needed, and so much more. She grew up in West Michigan near Grand Rapids. After high school, she went on to study at the University of Michigan and received her Bachelors in Science of Veterinary Technology. Stacy has worked with a variety of animals. She has a pet Ball Python named Joey, as well. Stacey recently made a big move to Vassar to join our team at Care Veterinary Services. Moving with her and Ball Python Joey are her two sweet cats, Linguini and Fartfanugen. She loves spending time camping with her family, as well as, being creative with sculpting, drawing, and painting.
Veterinary Assistant, Alyssa Cook is a big help at the clinic. Making sure the exam rooms are cleaned and stocked for any situation that may come in. Assisting with pet patient wellness exams, running labs, and making pets comfy before and after surgery.
Alyssa grew up in Millington. She attended Millington High School and Tuscola Technology Center for Agriculture Science. She played soccer and was a member of the student council.
Alyssa currently is working on finishing her prerequisites at Mott Community College with big plans to attend the Michigan States Veterinary Program in the fall of 2020, to become a veterinarian!
If she is not studying, at school or work, Alyssa enjoys camping and trail riding her jeep up north with her 2 brothers and family. She also loves to draw, play guitar. As well as being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Amber Jensen, Care Veterinary’s Practice Manager. A Georgia native, Amber has completed her Associate’s in Health Care Administration, has her NHA Certification, is in her senior year for a Bachelor’s in Health Care Administration with a minor in management, completed the AKC’s 11 Breeder’s Education Courses with certification, is a member of AKC’s Bred with HEART program and ranked by GoodDogBreeder.com as a GREAT Doberman Breeder. Coming with 10 years of managerial experience, client education, team building, and exceptional customer service; she looks to make an impact on the health education of pet owners. Continued Education is of high priority to her. She believes there is always new information to learn.
She and her husband show and breed AKC & OFA certified Doberman Pinschers. Amber, her husband, and children have a farm where they enjoy their Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain horses, their Dobermans, Norwegian Forest cat, Bengal mix cat, and rescued Tabby cat.
